Stephen McCabe has been the Labour Party MP for Birmingham Selly Oak from 2010 and was the MP for Birmingham Hall Green from 1997 to 2010.
McCabe held his seat in the 2015 general election with a majority of 8,447 votes.[1]
McCabe was appointed to the Work and Pensions Select Committee in November 2015.[2]
Parliamentary roles
He served as Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) 2006-07, Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) (Whip) 2007-10, and Opposition Whip (Commons) 2010-10. He was appointed a Shadow Education Minister in 2013.[3]
