Mark Lazarowicz was the Labour Party (Co-op) member of Parliament (MP) for Edinburgh North and Leith from 2001 to 2015. [1] During his time in Parliament he was an active member of the Environmental Audit Committee, which is described as a 'House of Commons Select Committee which examines Government policies on the environment and produces independent reports which often set the agenda for change.' [1]
Lazarowicz lost his seat at the 2015 general election to the Scottish National Party's Deidre Brock by 5,597.[2]
