Siân C. James was the Labour Party member of Parliament (MP) for Swansea East from 2005 to 2015.[1]
In February 2014 James announced she would not stand in the 2015 general election as 'she wanted to concentrate on campaigning outside of parliament'.[2] She was replaced by Carolyn Harris who held the seat.[3]
