Donald Brydon became a Non-Executive Director of Royal Mail Group in February 2009 and Chairman in March 2009.
In May 2003, he joined the Scottish Power Board and is the senior independent director.
His in-depth investment management and investment banking expertise has been built during a 36 year career with the Barclays and AXA groups.
He is Chairman of Smiths Industries plc, Taylor Nelson Sofres plc, and the London Metal Exchange.
Donald is Chairman of the Code Committee of the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers.
Following his re-appointment for a further three-year term, his current term of office expired at the AGM in 2009.[2]
