Konrad Caulkett is a former Smith Institute employee, an "independent think tank", which was set up in 1997 "to undertake research and education in issues that flow from the changing relationship between social values and economic imperatives."

Caulkett previously worked as a special adviser to Sarah Brown, the Prime Minister's wife from 200 to 2010. [1]
