Patrick Diamond worked as a policy adviser for the British Labour Party government. His various government roles between 2000 and 2010 included working in the Cabinet Office, the Northern Ireland Office, and the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) where he served as group director of strategy.[1]
Post-government career
Diamond is currently a visiting fellow at Kellogg College, University of Oxford and an associate member of Nuffield College.
He is also a local councillor in the London Borough of Southwark.
Diamond is now vice-chair at the think-tank Policy Network, offering his expertise in a number of ongoing projects, particularly on the renewal of social democracy, globalisation and social justice, and the future of the welfare state. [2]
Diamond is also a member of the advisory board of the Social Market Foundation think tank, and sits on the Scientific Council of the Foundation for European Progressive Studies.
