Dr Hywel Francis was the Labour Party member of Parliament (MP) for Aberavon from 2001 to 2015.[1]
In November 2013 Francis announced he would not be standing at the 2015 general election.[2] He was replaced by former Labour leader Neil Kinnock's son Stephen Kinnock, who held the seat by 10,445 votes.[3]
