James Douglas Thornton is Managing Director of Ashby & Thornton PLC and various associated companies, including Hurford Salvi Carr Property Management Ltd. He is also a member of the National Executive of the Independent Network.[1]
Thornton stood against Jim Fitzpatrick in the 2010 general election. He said of Fitzpatrick's record:
- "The only thing that crossed my consciousness was the issue with the wedding, and from my experience in Bahrain, I would probably not have handled it quite like that."[2]
