DONG Energy is a Danish energy company.[1] It is a public limited company in which the Danish state is the largest shareholder.[2]

In May 2017 it sold its oil and gas business for £1bn to Anglo-Swiss chemical giant INEOS, marking a milestone in the company’s switch from hydrocarbons to renewable energy.
