Paul Channon was Minister of State at the Northern Ireland Office from 26 March 1972 to 5 November 1972.[1]

Channon's London home was the venue for a secret meeting between Northern Ireland Secretary William Whitelaw and leader of the Provisional IRA in July 1972.[2]
