Evan Davis was appointed Economics Editor in October 2001 to the BBC. Previously, he had worked on BBC Two's Newsnight programme from 1997 to 2001. Prior to working for the BBC, Evan had to spells as an economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. In 1998, 2001 and 2003 he won the Work Foundation's Broadcast Journalist of the Year Award.[1]
Evan Davis is the presenter of the popular BBC Two show Dragon's Den.[2] He is also on the Policy Advisory Board of the Social Market Foundation a neoliberal free market think tank, which explores the ideas that link the individual and the state together, in order to create a liberal, just and prosperous Britain.[3]
