Spencer Livermore is an advisor to Gordon Brown and worked in Brown's Economics Secretariat before the 1997 election and as political adviser to Andrew Smith [1] when he was Shadow Chief Secretary to the Treasury. Livermore is 'one of the few from Mr Brown’s inner circle to have remained at 11 Downing Street since the early years.
