Evan Davis was appointed Economics Editor in October 2001 to the BBC. Previously, he had worked on BBC Two's Newsnight programme from 1997 to 2001. Prior to working for the BBC, Evan had to spells as an economist at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. In 1998, 2001 and 2003 he won the Work Foundation's Broadcast Journalist of the Year Award. [1]
