Christina Jones, also known as Christina Harrison, was director of the Centre for Israel and Scotland Relations, the Scottish office of the Embassy of Israel in the United Kingdom, from 2020. She later worked for CAMERA UK, the UK office of the Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America, first in communications and by December 2024 as manager of CAMERA UK and CAMERA on Campus UK.

Background

In 2020 Jones wrote that she was born and raised in Scotland to Canadian parents, and that she held a BA from the University of Glasgow and an MA from Tel Aviv University.[3] The United Synagogue reported the same degrees in 2025 and said she had been "brought up as an evangelical".[4]

Sources dated from February 2019 to April 2024 name her Christina Jones,[5][6] and the Representative Council's page on the Centre for Israel and Scotland Relations still did so in January 2025.[7] From December 2024 she appears as Christina Harrison.[8][9][4] The statutory marriages index records a marriage of Christina Ashle[y] Jones to Andrew David Harrison at Helensburgh in 2024 (the index truncates the second forename);[2] she very probably married Andrew David Harrison then, which would explain her use of the name Harrison. The same indexed forenames match a birth registered at Renfrew in 1990,[1] so she was very probably born in 1990. The United Synagogue's account of Christina Harrison gives the same degrees, the same embassy post and the reopening of the centre that Jones described in 2020.[3][4]

Career

Embassy of Israel

Jones wrote that she had worked at the Embassy of Israel in London for two and a half years as "the Assistant for Inter-communal Affairs within the Public Diplomacy Department".[3] In February 2019 she and Vivian Aisen of the embassy's public diplomacy department visited Bhaktivedanta Manor.[5]

Centre for Israel and Scotland Relations

In the Glasgow Jewish Representative Council's September 2020 newsletter, Jones wrote that she had "recently taken over as the Director of the Centre for Scotland and Israel Relations", succeeding Ruth Kennedy, and that she had been "asked to re-open the centre". She described the centre as "the Scottish office for the Embassy of Israel in London which supports the strategic development of positive relations between Scotland and Israel across all spheres of society".[3] The United Synagogue's July 2025 report said that "in March 2020 she returned to Scotland and reopened the centre for Scotland and Israel relations on behalf of the Israel UK Embassy".[4] The Representative Council's page on the centre named her as its contact from 2021 to January 2025.[10][7]

CAMERA UK

A CAMERA on Campus UK statement on the attacks of 7 October 2023 gave her as media contact, as "Communications Associate, CAMERA UK".[11] In April 2024 All Israel News reported an interview by Paul Calvert with Jones and CAMERA's Sasha Chernyak about CAMERA's "This is Zionism" campaign. It described Jones as "responsible for communications for CAMERA's UK office". She described incidents involving Jewish students at the universities of Exeter and Leeds, and said she hoped the campaign would broaden support for Israel in the United Kingdom, "even among non-Jews".[6]

In its December 2024 newsletter CAMERA on Campus reported that "Christina Harrison, Manager of CAMERA UK" had hosted a session at the 2024 Limmud conference on the challenges faced by university students.[8] By January 2025 she was described as "Manager for CAMERA on Campus UK" in a letter to the vice-chancellor of the University of East London about the university's consultation on its antisemitism statement and the IHRA working definition of antisemitism.[9] In July 2025 the United Synagogue reported a talk she gave to members of its Kenton community as manager of CAMERA UK, overseeing CAMERA on Campus UK. According to the report, she spoke about the media corrections CAMERA UK had obtained, its links with student societies on fifteen university campuses, and coverage by the BBC.[4]
