Albert Lazarus Benjamin (1909-2006) was a Glasgow based Zionist, his mothers maiden name was Winer.[1] He married Judith Benjamin (nee Golombok) of the well known Glasgow Zionist Golombok family in Pollok in 1939.[2][3]
Family
- Parents Hymen Benjamin and Katie Benjamin (nee Winer) who married in 1906 in the Gorbals.[4] Hymen died in 1951 in Cathcart at 71 years of age. He is listed as a retired commercial traveller living at 127 Cartvale Road in Glasgow. His father was Albert Benjamin a Drapery traveller and his mother was Mary Benjamin afterwards Rosen nee Reinstein. the dearth certificat was signed by Albert Lazarus Benjamin of 595 Shield Road, Glasgow.
In the 1911 Census Hymen (30) and Katie (24) lived with Albert Lazarus Benjamin (2) and Claire Benjamin (3).[5] Valuation rolls show that he lived at 127 Cartvale road in 1915 and 1920.[6][7]
