Kevan Jones has been the Labour Party member of Parliament (MP) for North Durham since 2001. He has served as Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Ministry of Defence) (Veterans) 2008-10, Shadow Minister (Veterans) in 2010, and Shadow Minister (Defence) 2010-.[1]
In the 2015 and 2017 UK general elections Jones was re-elected with increased majorities.[2]
