Mothers Against Radical Islam and Sharia (MARIAS) is a small UK-based group led by Toni Bugle.
It has links to Sharia Watch UK and its founder Anne Marie Waters. At a MARIAS rally at Downing Street in April 2015, Waters and fellow UKIP candidate Magnus Nielsen were filmed by an undercover reporter for the Daily Mirror making statements the newspaper described as 'vile anti-Islamic hate'.[1]
The Mirror described MARIAS as 'closely linked to' the English Defence League (EDL) and according to British group Hope Not Hate, Bugle has attended EDL demonstrations.[2]
