Martin Caton was the Labour MP for Gower from 1997 to 2015.[1]
Caton announced he would not be contesting the seat in the 2015 general election.[2] He was replaced by Liz Evans who lost to the Conservative's Byron Davies by 27 votes.[3]
Commons vote for fracking moratorium
In January 2015 he was one of seven members of the influential House of Commons Environmental Audit Committee who voted for a moratorium on fracking for shale gas in January 2015. Most Labour MPs abstained. [4]
