Meg Hillier has been the Labour Party member of parliament (MP) for Hackney South and Shoreditch since 2005. She served as shadow secretary of state for energy and climate change from 2010 to 2011.[1]
In the 2015 general election Hillier held her seat by winning 64.4 percent of the vote and a majority of 24,243.[2]
Hillier was elected chair of the House of Commons Public Accounts Committee in June 2015.[3]
