Lord Maclennan of Rogart, known as Bob Maclennan, is a life peer for the Liberal Democrats in the House of Lords having joined the Lords in July 2001.
He was originally a Labour MP and served as the Parliamentary Under-Secretary to the Department of Prices and Consumer Protection.
He was a founder of the Social Democratic Party and served as its last leader from August 1987 until July 1988, when it merged with the Liberal Party.[1]
