Rebecca Long Bailey has been the Labour Party Member of Parliament for Salford and Eccles since May 2015. [1]
In February 2014 Hazel Blears announced her retirement from politics having served the Salford and Eccles seat since 1997. [2] Long Bailey was appointed to stand as the Labour candidate for the 2015 general election following Blears's retirement and was elected in with a majority of 12,541. [3]
