Kevin Brennan has been the Labour Party MP for Cardiff West since 2001,[1] retaining his seat in the 2015 general election with a majority of 6,789. [2]
Brennan's parliamentary career has included the following positions: Assistant Whip (HM Treasury) 2005-06; Lord Commissioner (HM Treasury) (Whip) 2006-07; Parliamentary Under-Secretary (Department for Children, Schools and Families) (Children, Young People and Families) 2007-08; Parliamentary Secretary (Cabinet Office) (Third Sector) 2008-09; Minister of State (Department for Children, Schools and Families) 2009-10; Minister of State (Department for Business, Innovation and Skills) (Further Education, Skills, Apprenticeships and Consumer Affairs) 2009-10; Shadow Minister (Business, Innovation and Skills) 2010-10.[1]
