Jim Hood was the Labour Party member of Parliament (MP) for Lanark and Hamilton East from 2005 to 2015 and Clydesdale from 1987 and 2005. [1]

Hood lost his seat in the 2015 general election to the Scottish National Party's Angela Crawley by 10,100 votes.[2]
