The Loughinisland Massacre took place on 18 June 1994 when the Ulster Volunteer Force attacked the Heights Bar in Loughinisland, Co. Down as customers were watching the Republic of Ireland v Italy World Cup Match. Six people were shot dead and five others injured.[1]
