Eric Koops, veteran Conservative movement activist, is a former member of the Territorial Army and was a Parliamentary candidate for the Conservatives in Wakefield 1974. He was vice-president of the Political Committee of the Carlton Club 1988- (chairman 1984-88).[1]
Between at least 2005 and 2011 he was a trustee of the Institute for Policy Research a British registered charity which serves as a vehicle for funding Conservative movement think tanks.
