Teaching About Terrorism is a 2009/10 research project funded by C-SAP, one of the Higher Education Academy's subject networks. The project aims to research the extent and nature of teaching about terrorism in UK Universities, primarily in the disciplines of Sociology, Politics and Criminology.[1]

The University has formed a very strong partnership with South Yorkshire Police that enables early intervention in respect of safeguarding against and preventing extremism. The partnership follows the guidance document cited in Q4 to address effectively concerns surrounding emerging instances of extremism to enhance excellent campus relations and community safety.[2]
