Adrian Wheeler, 54, is CEO of GCI UK and chairman of GCI Europe. He specialises in corporate communications and is responsible for GCI's work in Europe for British Airways, Novartis and Dell. Wheeler is a member of GCI's global board and lectures throughout the world on issues & crisis communications, managing integrated communications across borders, and research & evaluation.
Background
He was educated at Dulwich College and Clare College, Cambridge.
Wheeler established Sterling Public Relations in 1976, a consultancy acquired by Grey Advertising in 1990.[1] He is a board member of the Public Relations Consultants Association (serving as chairman from 1999-2001) and the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR)[2] (previously associated as a Fellow of the Institute of Public Relations) and a member of the Marketing Society. Wheeler is also non-executive director of The Gyroscope Consultancy and Best Communications (Prague).[3]
He is a partner in Agincourt Communications and a non-executive director of Firefly Communications and The London Communications Agency.[4]
