<youtube size="tiny" align="right" caption="David Brog introduced by John Hagee at CUFI Conference">yaO0wqFhfas</youtube> Referred to as "CUFI's lobbyist in Washington," [1] David Brog is the executive director of Christians United for Israel. Working in the US Senate for 7 years, Brog was previously the chief of staff to Senator Arlen Specter and staff director of the Senate Judiciary Committee. Brog has lived and worked in the US and Israel.[2] Although he works for an organization that has been criticized by Israeli Rabbis and Jews for allegedly aiming to convert Jews to Christianity,[3] Brog is Jewish himself[4] and the cousin of former Israeli prime minister, Ehud Barak.[4]

In 2006 Brog informed investigative journalist Max Blumenthal that the White House had convened a series of "off-the-record meetings" about Middle East policy with the leaders of CUFI: "David Brog, told me that during the meetings, CUFI representatives pressed White House officials to adopt a more confrontational posture toward Iran, refuse aid to the Palestinians and give Israel a free hand as it ramped up its military conflict with Hezbollah."[5]
