It operates through various front groups, including the Iraq Unions Solidarity.
AWL also works closely with the Worker-Communist Party of Iraq and its various front organizations - Federation of Workers Councils and Unions in Iraq, Organization of Women's Freedom in Iraq, Iraqi Freedom Congress and the Union of the Unemployed in Iraq.[2]
