- Tim became a diplomat after 8 years as an Army officer, where he served in places from the Balkans to the Falklands. He joined the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office the day before the 9/11 terrorist attacks on the US. Since then he has worked in Afghanistan and Pakistan on security issues, and in London on counter terrorism and the Middle East. After leaving the scenic and historic Prague Tim completed an intensive programme of Arabic language training with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office in preparation for his posting to Kuwait.[1]
He has a partner named Nia.[2]
