:Dr David J Betz BA, MA (Carleton) PhD (Glasgow) joined the Department in 2002, he was appointed Senior Lecturer in September 2007. He has an interest in civil-military relations, defence management and defence reform, particularly in the post-communist states of Central and Eastern Europe. He also does research on the problems of information age warfare, network-centric warfare, complex irregular warfare and the Revolution in Military Affairs. He has taught courses on all of the above in addition to courses on Asia-Pacific security.
