The British Psychological Society (BPS), founded in 1901 as the Psychological Society and renamed in 1906, is a learned society that "promotes excellence and ethical practice in the science, education and practical applications of psychology."[1]

- BPS is listed one of the funders of the Science Media Centre (since 2012).[2] BPS also welcomed SMC's recommendations (made on 05 Dec 2011) to their submission to the Leveson Inquiry (on 05 Dec 2011).[3][4]
