Alain Marie Juppe, (date of birth 15th August 1945, Mont-de-Marsan, France). He is the current Mayor of Bordeaux.
Career/Positions Held
1984-1986 he was a Member of the European Parliament, he became a minister in 1986. He was a Member of the National Assembly of France for Paris; he was elected in 1986, 1988 and 1983. He was also elected for this position for Gironde between 1997 and 2004. [1] He was the deputy mayor of Paris between 1983 and 95, he was re-elected in 1989 – he was also the councilor OF Paris at these times.

- Minister of Budget (1986-1988)
- Spokesman for Government (1986-1988)
- Minister of Foreign Affairs (1993-1995)
- He became Prime Minister of France between 1995 and 1997 under President Jacques Chirac.
- He was also the Mayor of Bordeaux from 1995 - 2004
He resigned as he was convicted of mishandling funds in December 2004, and returned to politics when he was re-elected as Mayor of Bordeaux in October 2006.[3]
