JINSA The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs (JINSA) is a conservative, 'pro-Israel' advocacy think tank that promotes "strategic cooperation" between the United States and Israel. It is described by observers as a core think tank of the so-called 'Israel Lobby', and is based in Washington, DC.[1]

The Journal provides a medium for JINSA to dedicate itself to 'explaining the need for a prudent national security policy for the United States, addressing the security requirements of both the United States and the State of Israel, and strengthening the strategic cooperation relationship between these two great democracies.' [2]

The Journal is edited by Ilan Berman. Berman is an expert on regional security in the Middle East, Central Asia and the Russian Federation, and is the Vice President at the American Foreign Policy Council in Washington, D.C. [2]

The journal is published twice a year, once in the Summer and once in the Winter having been founded in 2012.
