Prior to attending university Lamb worked at retailers John Lewis as a call centre administrator. Whilst at university, he had short-term work experience with Universal Music Publishing Group and MRM Meteorite and worked for two years as a merchandiser for Firebrand Live Ltd.
After graduating, Lamb undertook two three-month internships, the first was as a public affairs and corporate communications department at lobbyists Portland Communications and then working for Liberal Democrats MP Lorely Burt.
In 2014 Lamb was appointed commercial analyst at ITV.
In January 2015 he began working for GK Strategy, first as a media and digital researcher and then a media and digital account executive. Lamb's job was declared on his father's Register of Members' Financial Interests due him being 'engaged in lobbying the public sector on behalf of a third party or client'.
