MM~Law is a a US law firm.

History

The firm was founded in 1987 in Chicago, Illinois, specializing in international and US federal taxation, and international commercial and securities laws.[1]

In 2001, MM~LAW formed its human rights and counterterrorism research group, a research division 'dedicated to legal and operational research in Arabic, Farsi, English, French, German, Spanish, Portuguese, Hebrew and Kurdish, tracing assets and international money laundering activities and documenting the financing of international terrorism, crimes against humanity, genocide, war crimes, torture, human trafficking and slavery.' Today, the firm is exclusively dedicated to such cases.[1]

The firm utilises laws such as the Alien Tort Claims Act, which allows non-Americans to launch proceedings against a company or foreign government in the US, and the 2008 National Defense Authorization Act, which gives American courts jurisdiction over the murder of Americans anywhere in the world.[2]

A 'Global Justice Group' was set up within the firm with the help of former Mossad and Shin Bet personnel.[3]

According to a 'Yediot Ahoronot' article archived on the company's website: "Nobody says so expressly, but it is obvious that the direct contact between the members of the team, all former Security Service members, with security entities in charge of this issue, has facilitated access to the documents both in Israel and abroad.[3]

The Company has reportedly undertaken legal proceedings against Jordan's Arab Bank, the Sudanese government and the American oil companies El Paso Energy and Bayoil.[2]

Arab Bank case

MM~Law worked with law firms Motley and Rice and the British H20 in the case against the Arab Bank.[3]
