Stephen Hammond has been the Conservative MP for Wimbledon since the 2005 election.[1]

Hammond was Parliamentary Private Secretary to Eric Pickles as Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government 2010-12. Since 2012, he has been Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Department for Transport.[1]

Revolving door

Months after leaving his role in the Department for Transport in the 2014 reshuffle, Hammond began working as an adviser for Inmarsat earning £800-an-hour. During his time in the Department for Transport, Hammond attended many official events alongside Inmarsat bosses and declared himself 'hugely impressed' by the company.[2] [3]
