David Muir is the former director of political strategy and special adviser to Gordon Brown. Prior to working for the Prime Minister, Muir spent 15 years in the marketing communications industry. In that time he worked for Ogilvy & Mather and its parent company WPP plc, an international advertising, marketing and public relations agency. [1] During that time he also published a best selling book on how brands build shareholder value, called "The Business of Brands". [2]

Education

David holds a 1st Class MA in Politics and Economics from the University of Glasgow and an MBA with Distinction from London Business School.
