Biography

Ben Abbotts is Head of Public Affairs at Lansons having joined from FD LLM in 2007. He has worked for businesses such as IKEA as well as membership organisations such as Association of Convenience Stores and Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors typically on parliamentary communications campaigns and influencing public policy. His background is in corporate communications and politics. He is an elected local councillor and has been a Parliamentary candidate. He is currently a political adviser to the Isle of Man Chief Minister and Treasury Minister on political and regulatory issues and the principal political adviser to the Employers Forum on Age which campaigns to scrap the default retirement age. He is engaged in consumer awareness campaigns by means of his work for the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
