Aside from its work in other sectors Bechtel is fast gaining an unwanted reputation in its water operation as an inefficient supplier of water. In Ecuador Bechtel stands accussed of increasing, bills whilst failing to fulfill the promises it makes to win the intial contract granted in 2002.
