  • 11 Eugene Toman, Sean Burns and Gervaise McKerr shot dead outside Lurgan by members of an RUC anti-terrorist unit.[1]
  • 24 17-year-old Michael Tighe and 19-year-old Martin McCauley are shot dead by members of an RUC anti-terrorist unit.[1]

December

  • 12 Seamus Grew and Roddy Carroll are shot dead by members of an RUC anti-terrorist unit.[2]
