Guy Spindler
Guy David St John Kelso Spindler (Born June 1962) is a career MI6 officer, and in 2018 and early 2019 stated that he worked for the Foreign Office in London as head of its Africa Directorate. At the time he also worked part time on a 50% contract for the Institute for Statecraft as part of its Integrity Initiative project which is funded largely (but not exclusively) by the Foreign Office, Spindler’s other employer. In May 2019 Spindler altered his LinkedIn profile to claim that he had left the Foreign Office in 2017.

Family background
Spindler was the son of John Edward Spindler (died 7 November 1993) and Jocelyn Spindler (died 5th March 2008)[1] When he died, John Spindler was a retired company director living in Malmesbury, Wiltshire.[2]
