Aeneas Lavinium is the pseudonym of British-based Counterjihad blogger [1] Chris Knowles. Knowles was suspended from his post in the children's services department of Leeds City Council in 2011 after Unite Against Fascism exposed him as a director of the well funded US-based Centre for Vigilant Freedom.[2]

Background

In a YouTube interview with Politically Incorrect, Aeneas stated "I come from a small town just outside Leeds. It's not very Islamised. There are certain parts of Leeds that are Islamised."[3]

Center for Vigilant Freedom

In an 8 July 2007 blog comment at the Lionheart blog, Aeneas invited Paul Ray to join the Center for Vigilant Freedom's blog network, stating:

I am a member of the Center for Vigilant Freedom (CVF)/910 Group. I listened to your excellent interview on the Gathering Storm Blog Talk Radio show and wanted to make you aware of an alternative media network that was highlighted on the show.
We are in the very early stages of developing a 24-7 media nework. Would you be interested in becoming involved.[4]

Aeneas was listed as the CVF's UK country co-ordinator, with the first name Chris, in its July 2007 newsletter:
