Zuzana Púčiková was an Account Executive at public affairs consultancy GPlus from February 2007 till May 2008. She advised clients in two main areas: the nascent homeland security policy of the EU and international media, with a particular focus on the Italian media.[1]

Background

Púčiková has hands-on communication experience in and around the European institutions and political environment of the EU. Prior to joining GPlus she worked for the European Commission’s DG Information Society and Media, where she was closely involved in the media relations around one of the most sensitive EU proposals on roaming charges for mobile phone users. She also helped with the communication of two other priority areas of the DG: the launch of the .eu domain and the IST Event 2006.

Previously, she worked for the Permanent Representation of the Slovak Republic in Brussels, Berlin-based Eurocast and the Association of European Radios. She has journalistic background from the Czech Information Agency in Prague and she collaborated shortly with the Project Finance Forum for Africa.[2]

Zuzana Púčiková graduated in Economics, specialising in Management and Marketing. She holds a Master’s degree in European Integration and Development from VUB and a D.E.S.S. in Communication and European Affairs from IHECS. She is currently completing a Post-Graduate course of studies in International Politics at the Université Libre de Bruxelles where she focuses on EU-Russia relations.

In addition to her native Slovak, Zuzana is fluent in Czech, English, French, Italian and Spanish, and has some basic knowledge of Russian and German.[3]
