Rev. Willem J. J. Glashouwer is the president of Christians for Israel International, a Christian Zionist organisation and the international wing of the Netherlands-based Christians for Israel. Born in 1944 Glashouwer studied Theology at the Univerisities of Groningen and Utrecht and was subsequently ordained as a minister of the Dutch Reformed Church.[1] For two decades he worked as a producer, host and executive director in the Television department of the 'Evangelische Omroep' (Evangelical Broadcasting Company).[1] Glashouwer was instrumental in the establishment of the Institute for Evangelical Higher Education in the Netherlands, and the Christian School for Journalism.[1] He served as chairman of Christians for Israel until 1999 when he became president of Christians for Israel International.[1] In February 2010 he was knighted by Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands.[1]

In August 2014 Glashouwer visited Paraguay reportedly to 'strengthen' the work of Ebenezer Operation Exodus (Ebenezer Emergency Fund International):

Rev. Willem Glashouwer visited Paraguay from August 11 - 25, 2014 to strengthen the work of Ebenezer Operation Exodus in the churches and to teach (in German) to the Mennonite communities proper understanding of the Scriptures who were struggling with Replacement Theology. This came in a very strategic time that The Lord prepared since Paraguay is the only nation in South America in favor with Israel denying to sign an embargo in Mercosur due to the Gaza events![2]

Books

Glashouwer has written several books on Israel and Christianity. Those books include Why End Times?: Learning to Interpret the Signs of the Times (Evangelista Media) [3] and Why Israel? Understanding Israel, the Church, and the Nations in the last Days (Evangelista Media). [4]
