Vernon Ellis

Vernon Ellis is the chair of the British Council.[1]

Education

Ellis graduated from Magdalen College, Oxford, with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics.[2]

Accenture

Ellis joined Accenture in 1969. In 1989 he became Managing Partner for Europe, Middle East, Africa and India.[3] From 2001 to the end of 2007 he was the firm's International Chairman. He also led the firm’s participation in the World Economic Forum and was the UK private sector representative at the G8 Digital Opportunities Task Force. At the beginning of 2008 he became Senior Adviser at Accenture.[4]
