In this section: MacShane and Muslims you state: "In the same article, he misrepresents the statement which had caused the outrage by publishing the altered version of the speech, which was changed as a result of the furore."  Hmmm... did he republish the original??  If he altered it to due to pressure, I suspect that you mean that he reverted to the original...

IISS
you say:

:To salvage its credibility, the IISS, unlike the British Government, claimed that it made mistakes in its dossier about the extent of the Iraqi threat, and commissioned an independent assessment by Rolf Ekeus, a former head of United Nations arms inspectors in Iraq.Samore and Chipman later claimed that their dossier had caveats about Iraq's supposed WMD arsenal, while the Government insisted on removing such caveats from intelligence assessments - leading to "sexing up" accusations.<ref> Kim Sengupta, Iraq Occupation Made World Less Safe, Pro-War Institute Says Studies , The Independent, May 26, 2004

But is what they say about the caveats true?  If so, does this undermine the previous popint about their original report?  Can you explain or include the evidence?

why removed?
Hi

Why did you remove the table format of the component organizations of NED?  It put forth the linkages better than what you did.  NB: there were more groups that will be added to this.

requirement
Hi

The folks at SW require entries to have a bit of info about what has been added or changed... one usually enters this in the Summary line.  It would be nice if Spin* folks would do the same...

Hi Idrees

You entered the footnote references to the LFOI with some silly format... since you entered this to begin with, could you make sure they match and make sense??

Hi Idress,

Not sure if the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies page is originally authored by you but if it is you may be interested in some Tax Returns I have added to the page. They include major funders and other interesting stuff.

Hi Idrees

could you add something in the Issues box on your portal page? guess it comes down to a question like: why should the public care about this issue?/implications for democracy, fairness, etc.

zionism
Hi Idrees

coming perilously close to launch time -- cd you have a look at your portal page and put in some sentence about Zionism that includes the link to David's page on Zionism (the link is already in there, just needs putting inside some text)? would be good for public to have some intro to Zionism on the portal page as it has such importance in Middle East matters. Also could you stick some text in the Issues section? A way to approach this is may be to ask why Joe Public should care about the Middle East and answer that question in this section.

Israel Lobby page

Two big white gaps need closing up

“Zionism” link needs to be incorporated into some kind of intro text.

“Issues” needs issues

Not clear to me what “priority pages on the Israel Lobby” means, as some of them have text in them and others are still to be written. Can we make clear to the visitor which are existing articles and which are subjects that need someone to write about them?

Categories section: is Necons the only category assoc with the Israel Lobby? What about CIA, Lovestoneites etc which seem to be other categories listed above? don't we need a link to those categories too in the categories section?

Do we need a category called Israel Lobby, which all articles in this portal will have at the foot of their page?

Some referencing
Hi Idrees,

Just a little note about the page on James Woolsey. There's a lot of great info on him here, but the referencing needs tightened up. As you are the main author of the page, would you please look into this if you have the time. Guidelines for ref layouts etc are on referencing guidelines page to ease the process. Thanks and best wishes,--Lynn Hill 13:35, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Possible useful source
Hi Idrees,

This link lists firms (incl PR) that are connected with Israeli companies [http://www.globes.co.il/serveen/globes/docview.asp?did=491831&fid=1049. This may (or may not) be of use to you, thought I'd pass it on just incase.

Hi Idrees, we need a reference for this sentence:

Near East Report is AIPAC's inhouse publication which was launched by I.L. Kenen with startup funding from the Jewish Agency, violating the Foreign Agents Registration Act restrictions on funding of propaganda for a foreign state.

thanks--Melissa Jones 11:07, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi Idrees, on the AIPAC page in the first section you added this sentence: "See main article AIPAC's origins" but the link doesn't go anywhere? Are you going to add something? or is the link not right? Thanks

Hi again, thanks for fixing the link. Do you have a ref for this para under heading: Legislation backed by AIPAC?

AIPAC's focus on Iran was also evident in 1995, when they pressed Clinton who then toughened up policy by imposing an economic embargo on Iran. But AIPAC are reported to have wanted more, which resulted in the 1996 Iran and Libya Sanctions Act (this imposed sanctions on any foreign companies investing more than $40 million to develop petroleum resources in Iran or Libya).

thanks
