‬Perkins's constituency includes three oil and gas licence blocks, all awarded to INEOS by the Oil and Gas Authority under the 14th licensing round in 2015. There are plans for two shale wells, two hrz frac wells and 2D and 3D seismic surveying; no applications are currently underway. [4]

In a meeting with a green campaigners, Perkins expressed concern about the environmental impacts of fracking, but also suggested shale gas could provide energy security. [5]

Voting record

Perkins has a mixed voting record on fracking. [6]
