Conservative Lord Chadlington, aka Peter Gummer, younger brother of John Gummer, founded Shandwick in 1974. [1] Shandwick became the largest PR firm in the UK. It was taken over by Interpublic and merged with Weber Group to form Weber Shandwick. Its then Chief Executive, Peter Gummer, is now Chief Executive of Huntsworth.
