Rory Stewart is the Conservative MP for Penrith and the Border.[1]
Stewart's father, Brian Stewart, was a senior MI6 officer in the running to become chief of the service in the 1970s. Rory Stewart acknowledged in 2010 that his own career "gives the appearance" of that of an MI6 officer.[2] A year earlier Stewart had denied a claim by former British diplomat Craig Murray.[3]
